Community Bible Church
believes there are few greater gifts than a child and no
greater responsibility.
Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is
one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you
today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to
your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by
the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. --
Deuteronomy 6:4-7 (NASB)
Deuteronomy 6:4-7, and numerous other passages in
God’s Word, make it very clear that as parents we are responsible for our
children and for laying a framework for their view of God. Therefore,
Children’s Ministries at CBC strive to partner with parents in building a
foundation of spiritual growth that, through the Holy Spirit, guides children
into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sunday
school
Children’s Sunday school meets every Sunday morning after
the worship service (around 11:15 am) during our Adult Sunday School.
Their current
curriculum includes a
40-week study called 'How Majestic Is Your Name' (published by
Children
Desiring God). It is a study
on the various names of God as we teach children
about the character and nature of God as revealed by His many names throughout
the Old and New Testaments. |
